Services FAQs

How does commission work?
Services members have the opportunity to earn 1% commission based on their individual sales. This then increases up to a maximum of 10%, depending on how much your store is above target.

How does training work?
You will have two onboarding days in your home store, to fully immerse yourself into the A&M experience. We also provide ongoing training and catch ups with our Experience Leads to ensure you feel confident, prepared, and truly set up for success.

Do you offer a referral scheme?
Yes, great talent knows great talent! Our referral scheme rewards you for bringing your friends into our community.

Do I need prior experience?
Piercers require a minimum of 1.5 years studio experience and Tattoo Artists require a minimum of 2 years studio experience. For Jewellers, a background working with metals previously (gold/silversmithing, relevant degree) is preferred, along with skills like soldering or welding.
Piercer FAQs

What jewellery do you pierce with?
Our jewellery is internally threaded implant-grade titanium and 14k solid gold. We also curate with lab-grown diamonds and semi-precious stones.

What equipment do you pierce with?
We pierce only with needles and depending on your preferences, cannula and blades will be sourced into the studio for you, along with all other relevant materials like sterilised gloves, clamps.
Tattoo Artist FAQs

What kind of tattoos do you offer?
We offer fine-line and custom tattoos at select studios. You can find out which locations offer tattoo services here.

Do I need to bring my own machine to work?
Yes, you will bring your tattoo machine, and we will supply the rest.

Do I need to be experienced in a specific style to work with you?
Experience with fine-line tattooing is preferred, to be able to execute our pre-designed A&M flash pieces in our signature style. For bespoke tattoos, you will have the flexibility to work within the styles you feel most confident in.

Can I work with you on a freelance basis?
Yes, you can work with us as a Freelancer in select studios.

What machine do you use for welding?
We use Pulse Arc Welders from Sunstone Welders. We have a variety of models across the company, but they all operate very similarly using Argon Gas as a shielding gas and Tungsten Steel electrodes.
